Onneto Hiking Tour

Renowned for its strikingly beautiful blue color, Onneto is a small lake found amidst the forests, lakes, and volcanoes of Akan-Mashu National Park. The lake is surrounded in vast pure forests of Japanese Spruce, a species rarely found even in Hokkaido. This slow and steady hike explores the enchanting sights of this primeval forest, such as 300-year-old trees and entire fields of mosses and alpine plants.
This tour will not be offered on Fridays from June to September, but will be a "Onneto-Yunotaki Hike" tour for a limited time only.Please wait for a while until the reservation site goes live (scheduled to go live in mid-May 2022).

◆Clothing：Please prepare the following: Comfortable clothing (Long-sleeved shirt, long pants. Quick-drying synthetic fabrics would be suitable. Please avoid cotton products.), a hat, sunglasses, trekking boots (ones that cover your ankles and and have secure soles). ◆Items：Waterproof jacket and pants (also for warmth), an outer garment for cold weather (such as a fleece jacket or wool sweater), drinks that you can drink while climbing (1 liter or more), portable snacks (chocolate bars, salty candies, etc.), thin gloves, towels, trekking poles (not a requirement but would be useful)  Click to enlarge
