This is the most popular hiking course. You can see alpine plants on the way, such as Arenaria merckioides, Potentilla miyabei, and more. Albeit its steep slope, this course is popular because it is the shortest in distance and also the hiking is low-difficulty. An experienced guide well versed in Mt. Meakan will accompany you.

A lengthwise course for experts. Starting at the trailhead is continuing forest. As you near the 7th stage, Akan-Fuji appears before your eyes. From Akan-Fuji, you aspire to Lake Akan and Mt. Oakan. Depending on the season, you may encounter alpine plants such as the mountain harebell. An experienced guide will accompany you on Mt. Meakan.

The exercise efficiency of Nordic walking is thought to be over 1.5 times that of normal walking. Take two poles and enjoy a walk through nature at Lake Akan! An instructor will guide you through the Bokke mud volcano or a ski slope.
